Tonight is the premiere opening of Wake Up at the Sunscreen Film Festival West. George (who is the films composer) and his daughter Xan (who has a leading role in the movie as well as her song ‘No’ showcased) attended the event. The movie exposes the very sad reality of child sex trafficking. Based on true accounts, this movie shows how traffickers group their victims and how this has become so prevalent in everyday suburbia life. The films creator Janet Craig has had this vision for many years. She is donating the proceeds of her film to three non profit organizations, Forever Found, Raising Hope and Zoe International. George is an artist partner with Forever Found, an organization that his family has volunteered and works with to combat child sex trafficking. UPDATE: The film won the award for Best Feature Film! So exciting to be part of the event. 

Tonight! Disney XD premieres its new shows G.O.A.T. and Eye Wonder. This is especially exciting as along with George’s original themes and music, these shows showcase four young talents that are part of George’s concept in the works, Academi Music. Academi music is a concept where George showcases new young and diverse talent to help launch their careers. The four artists contributing to the music are Alia Arzola, Melnickson, Jonathan Richmond and Xan Gabriel. Aila and Xan are also part of the League of Young Women Composers. These four are part of a larger diverse group of composers that are building a music and song library that will help them with valuable experience and credits to start their careers. Each one of these artists will be able to showcase their work collectively as well as have their own artist page to promote their work and help build their own connections so they can thrive on their own. Once the music library launches, we will make the big announcement.

New from Disney XD – Eye Wonder! George will be scoring the show that features the masters of illusion on the internet. Card tricks, illusions, sleight of hand and things that seem impossible are on this fun show. The series premiers on November 6th on Disney XD.

From kids to puppies, stunts to explosions – some of the highest ranked and most viewed clips are showcased using the shows ‘Clipinator’ – This one is lots of fun for the whole family!

George has been named the composer on the new Disney Channel prime time show, Disney’s Magic Bake Off! Three teams will face off on episodes that showcase cakes designs around Disney properties like Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar and more! Host Issac Ryan Brown and Dara Renee team up with Disneyland’s master chef Graciela Gomez to watch the three teams compete for a chance to win the baking crown.

George has been named the composer on the Janet Craig film Wake Up that exposes the child human trafficking problem that very much exists in all of our communities. Trafficking is the larges money making crime in the world. This movie exposes how this happens right before our eyes in our communities. The proceeds of this film are dedicated to several anti-human trafficking organizations like Forever Found where George is listed as a partner artist.

George has been in education in the public high schools since 2016. He is a Career Technical Educator hired by Ventura County, CA to use real-world industry knowledge to build up the next generation of composers. Recognizing the large gender gap in male to female professional composers (94% to 6%), George encouraged some of his students and other post-school females who aspired to be composers to pursue their dreams and thus created The League of Young Women Composers (LYWC).
