George Lands Netflix Series “Llama Llama”

George  is named the scoring composer for the new Netflix series based on the best-selling book series by Anna Dewdney, the show will follow the adventures of its titular character as he learns and grows alongside his closest friends. The series stars Jennifer Garner. Garner will voice Mama Llama.

“I’ve read Anna Dewdney’s Llama Llama books to my kids hundreds of times in the last 10 years,” Garner said in a statement. “Little did I know it would all count as rehearsal — I’m thrilled to bring Mama Llama to life for Netflix! The Llama Llamabooks are so fun to read, your kids won’t even notice they are learning life lessons, such as how to battle boredom, or braving the first day of school. But when your kids watch the coziness of Mama Llama’s relationship with her Little Llama, be ready for an extra snuggle as you connect, while learning about the world around you.”

George will score 30 episodes starting in April. The score is organic and features baritone ukulele, mandolin, acoustic guitar and many organic hand-played percussion instruments. George is thrilled to be part of such a staple in children’s books now coming to live in animation. George is also excited to be part of the Netflix lineup.
The series boasts an all-star creative team, including directors Rob Minkoff (The Lion King) and Saul Blinkoff (Doc McStuffins), showrunner Joe Purdy (Hey Arnold!), art director Ruben Aquino (Frozen), and producers Jane Startz (The Magic School Bus) and Andy Heyward (Captain Planet and the Planeteers).

Llama Llama will premiere in 2017. Will you and your llamas children be watching?
